Application Support Analyst for the support of a highly critical and busy environment.

We require a self-starter who has the capacity and skill set to work within a mission-critical environment.

As an Application Support Analyst, you will provide 2nd and 3rd level technical and functional application support, administration and maintenance to resolve application and system problems, minimising disruptions to the applications that users depend on. The service desk will pass on to the application support team if they cannot resolve there and then.  It is the Application Support Analysts job to find the fix and how to best liaise with the business, both internally from ICT team and externally (end user)

You will also have the ability to write technical documentation clearly and precisely i.e. for service desk analysts to review to make solution finding as efficient as possible.


Assessing, analysing and responding to support issues which may arise as well as acting as the conduit between ICT and the business.

Required Skills / Knowledge
  • At least 5 years' experience in the applications support arena
  • Experience in providing support for a medium sized organisation in a Business Systems Analyst or Applications Support Analyst role
  • SQL experience would be a nice to have, but this is not essential seeing as you will not be scripting in this role
  • Exemplary communication skills - both written and verbal
  • ICT related qualifications i.e. tertiary education
  • Can-do attitude is everything for this, so determination and drive as well as passion is a must.
