The opportunity

My client are looking for a Solutions Architect, on that can start immediately to run full time for 4 months. As a Solutions Architect, you will work on their Oracle Cloud ERP and FMIS project.

The high level design has already been done (last year). They need a very capable person to be the translator between tech and business (translate tech doc as well), lead the tech stream for delivery, work with the specialists and pull all the technical documentations together (as built).

See below what the project is looking for:

1. Take responsibility for technical deliverables:
  • In support of establishing the system integration
  • To provide technical input to assist defect triage during testing (particularly Integration Testing and Performance testing).
  • In establishing the Technical Handover documentation which forms part of the Support model.
2. Design / Technical Documentation for handover/receipting into production:
  • Overall system As-built documentation:  document the system as built, end-end to the standard required for receipt into production.
  • Own the technical outcomes and liaise with vendors and staff to achieve this, through a combination of aggregation of vendor docs, processes, designs, etc. and ensuring that they provide the level of detail
  • This may also include conducting Design Reviews and / or facilitating the documentation through Ministry technical review boards.
  • Contribute to any other aspects of the Support Model and Technical Handover Pack which require technical insight. The PM will be responsible for the Service Design and procedural elements but may require technical support on some aspects (e.g., review of such things as monitoring and alerting plans, DR plans, backup and archival plans, certificate management etc.).
3. Provide technical insight into defect resolution. This may include investigation/resolution of the ERP system performance if that is found to be slow or latent during Load testing.  This will include documenting any changes made by vendors to networks.

4. Document or provide technical input into the project Security Risk Assessment and provide technical input to the overall Security C&A process. 

5. Desirable: Ability to provide the project with guidance and insight into standards and processes. If this direct experience is not available then the appointed person should have a level of experience that allows them to efficiently identify the relevant information by consultation with the relevant ICT teams.
